Reading, for me, is entertainment and an escape from the real world. But it can also inform and stretch the boundaries of the life I live.
It's funny how things just work out sometimes. I had no idea what I was going to do for reading Task the Tenth: The Holiday Down Under, then a library audio hold that I've been waiting on for weeks came in. I didn't really look at any of the information before I downloaded and started listening, so I hadn't even realized it was set in Sydney or that the author is Australian. It was a wonderful surprise to hear the voice of one of my favorite narrators, Caroline Lee, in my ears! She narrates Kate Morton's books.
And now I have a book for the 10th Task of the Festive Season!
