Lavender Morning update: I've read 20 out of 476 pages.
Why are short-shorts and brains incompatible? Is it really better for a teenager to prefer dressing in twinsets and pearls? How can the old biddy criticize the girl's father for not being attentive and protective, then let a 16 year old wander around sightseeing in London, Paris, and Rome all by herself?
Otherwise, this is looking pretty promising.
