A Sight for Sore Eyes - Ruth Rendell

My first Ruth Rendell, and enjoying very much. I've read one of her Barbara Vine books and was not over impressed. The first chapter was so well constructed that I had to stop a moment to admire it before moving on. She has been weaving a cast of characters together, growing and revealing them, and I’ve loved every minute of it, even though I still have no idea how they’re all going to fit together in the plot.
