Reading, for me, is entertainment and an escape from the real world. But it can also inform and stretch the boundaries of the life I live.
My third or fourth Poirot mystery, and I'm truly enjoying them. This one was a fun puzzle with interesting characters, and I'm growing very fond of Poirot. I'd quibble that I don't think sufficient clues were given to the reader to figure out whodunnit, and the whole matchmaking thing was a little weird - Jane is a serious minded career girl prior to this story, but spends pretty much the whole story passively floating along and falling in love with whoever she's pointed at - but whatever, it was still a good story.
Audiobook, borrowed from my public library. Hugh Fraser's fantastic performance elevates it to four stars for me.
