Reading, for me, is entertainment and an escape from the real world. But it can also inform and stretch the boundaries of the life I live.
I've been looking forward to this one! It's the first novel by a classic horror writer that I unfortunately discovered too late. I'm reading this for the Creepy Crawlies square: Books with bugs, snakes, spiders, worms and other things that slither, scuttle or crawl, includes viruses and other parasites. I think hordes of rats crawling out of the sewers and subway to take over a city definitely counts!
